In the weeks leading up to its release, "The Endless River" was frequently referred to as an album of ambient music, and in the context of the band's rich history of instrumentals that idea held some promise. "The Endless River," a double album that seems longer, was pieced together by guitarist David Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason using leftover tracks from sessions for 1994's "The Division Bell." The late Richard Wright is prominently featured on keyboards, completing the lineup that made both "The Division Bell" and 1987's "A Momentary Lapse of Reason." ![]() ![]() ![]() It's tempting to say that all seems lost at that point, but you have to care about something before you feel loss.
